Start Recycling Plastics Now! (#2,#4,#5)

Lane County Plastics Roundup

IMPORTANT: Dirty plastic, plastic with glued on labels, and any plastic other than #2, #4, and #5 will NOT be accepted. All items must have a stamped resin code and any glued-on labels must be removed.

Tip: Paper and plastic labels may require soaking. The best method is to apply a generous coating of old cooking oil to the label and let it sit overnight, by morning it should be easy to remove.  Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) will remove any remaining adhesive.

Tim Foelker is a designated “community collector,” please contact him (541-689-8897) to arrange for delivering your plastics, or arrange for a possible pickup. We should be able to take your plastics at the March 7th and April 4th SCCO meetings, so collect your sorted bags and bring ’em to the meeting! Check with your neighbors, too, and help them collect.

More information can be found at the Lane County Plastics Roundup page.
