Awbrey Park Wildflower Celebration – May 1

Butterfly garden

It’s time for our annual Awbrey Park Wildflower Celebration.
Saturday, May 1
11am – 3 pm
Awbrey Park (Corner of Spring Creed Drive and River Road)

There will be some minor changes due to Covid-19.

  • Tour’s will be self guided. Check in at the host table to get a map to follow.
  • We will be handing out rock painting kits to take home rather than painting while at the park
  • Sorry, no free hot dogs this year.
  • You must wear a mask. Groups must keep socially distanced as they tour the park.

What’s the same?

  • Treasure Hunt – the first 20 to complete a Treasure Hunt will qualify to take home a native plant.
  • Live acoustic music
  • The colorful Butterfly Garden. It should look a lot like the picture above.

The Celebration is very family friendly. Bring a picnic, play on the playground equipment or on the large open lawn – while maintaining social distancing.

A big thank you to Boy Scout Troops 182 and 422 and The Friends of Awbrey Park.
