One way to welcome new neighbors is to visit them soon after moving in.  Consider taking flowers, food and ideas of what to do and where to eat in our area.  Flowers or food are usually highly appreciated during the hectic and stressful period of time when moving into a home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let your new neighbor that there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/lcmaps.lanecounty.org\/propertysearchnew\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/lcmaps.lanecounty.org\/propertysearchnew\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">County web page <\/a>that can tell them if they are in the city or just county and who to call for services, which school district they are in, and who represents them on the City Council or County level.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, consider taking a letter of welcome that includes encouragement to quickly meet a lot of Santa Clara neighbors by attending an SCCO meeting.  Here is an example of a letter of welcome.  (Feel free to cut, paste and modify.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-medium-gray-color has-css-opacity has-medium-gray-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello New Neighbor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcome!&nbsp; We are glad you\u2019re here.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After you get settled in, a great way to meet a lot of neighbors at once and learn what is going on in the neighborhood, is to attend a meeting of SCCO, the Santa Clara Community Organization.\u00a0 We meet the\u00a0first Thursday\u00a0of every month, from 7-9 PM. You can join us in person at 3280 River Road (the Messiah Lutheran Church) or via Zoom.
