This is in response to the many concerns we heard during our planning process about vehicle speeds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">These signs have been proven to reduce speeds. Unfortunately, their effectiveness fades if they are in place for more than two weeks because they are no longer a new flashy feature that catches the driver\u2019s attention. In our busy culture with many distractions, these signs become \u201cwhite noise\u201d if not moved around.
