Hello and thank you for staying in touch with Engage Eugene and with our Santa Clara Park master planning process.\u00a0 We are in interesting and challenging times with the current stay at home restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.\u00a0 Our first concern is in keeping our community safe so the future of community engagement may look different in the months ahead.\u00a0 The workshop report and survey results from the first public meeting are available now on Engage Eugene in the Santa Clara Community Park project page:\u00a0\u00a0https:\/\/engage.eugene-or.gov\/santaclarapark<\/u><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0workshop for Santa Clara Community Park will be held virtually on the Zoom Meeting platform.\u00a0 We\u2019ll be presenting preliminary design concepts and look forward to sharing them with you!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This meeting will be held from 6PM to 8PM on August 25.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Please click this URL to join: https:\/\/eugene-or-gov.zoom.us\/s\/98419751104<\/a>.<\/u> Password: SCCP82520\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All meeting materials will also be posted on the website along with a second survey to get feedback on the preliminary design.\u00a0 And for those that are not connected virtually, we\u2019ll be posting at kiosks in the park and exploring more opportunities and tools to reach out.\u00a0\u00a0 In the meantime, the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0survey results and 1st<\/sup>\u00a0workshop report are posted here:\u00a0\u00a0https:\/\/engage.eugene-or.gov\/<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 In general, the survey from the first workshop shows a high level of interest in the community for many of the typical elements that we see in a community park, including a playground, restroom, shade, open lawn, courts, flexible event space and picnic facilities.\u00a0 There is also a high regard for natural areas and trails.\u00a0 The concept options we are developing reflect these priorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
