Jerry Mohr, she&#8217;s our most recently elected SCCO board member and a technical professional, has this to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s a known problem and Zoom is working on it, but have not released a fix yet.\u00a0 Just found this: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201361953-New-updates-for-Windows\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201361953-New-updates-for-Windows<\/a><br>Under Resolved issues, 3rd item &#8211; &#8220;Resolved an issue for a subset of users regarding Zoom finding no speaker due to a request timeout for a Windows API &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looks like they don&#8217;t have a release date for the fix.\u00a0 But if you have other zoom meetings with folks using Windows systems, let them know not to upgrade yet.\u00a0 If they already have it, they can go here to download and install an older version (they have to uninstall the broken version first):\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/zoom-us-zoom.en.uptodown.com\/windows\/versions\">https:\/\/zoom-us-zoom.en.uptodown.com\/windows\/versions<\/a><br>Ver. 5.6.6 worked for me.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It came to our attention that the latest update of Zoom on Windows PCs may have some trouble connecting to the speaker\/microphone.
