Applicants must reside in Ward 7, be a legal elector under the laws and constitution of the state and be a resident of Eugene for one year immediately before being appointed to office. Interviews with the Eugene City Council will be scheduled in early December.\u00a0<strong>The application deadline is 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9,<\/strong> <strong>2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interim appointment will be made in December 2022 and the person appointed will serve until a successor, duly elected in May of 2023, takes office in July of 2023. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The successor, elected in May of 2023, will serve out the remainder of the current City Council, Ward 7 term (01\/2021-01\/2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The online application and supplemental questionnaire are available at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eugene-or.gov\/537\/Mayor-and-City-Council\" target=\"_blank\">eugene-or.gov\/537\/Mayor-and-City-Council\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are now being accepted for the appointment of Ward 7\u2019s Interim City Councilor.
