Update on Santa Clara <\/strong><\/em>Road<\/strong> Construction and West Bank Path<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reed Dunbar from the City of Eugene will be updating us on the construction at River Road and Hunsaker as well as future plans for the West Bank Bike Path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the arrival of Fall, we begin to see changes in the birds that visit your feeders. Some birds, like Black-capped Chickadees are present throughout the year, but in Fall and Winter, they become more prominent and easily-seen at your feeders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dark-eyed Juncos also become more obviously visible to people, as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, there are also many birds that do not breed in the Willamette Valley, so are not here in Spring and Summer, but make this their home for the winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will help you look at some of the birds found here in Fall and Winter and we will look at why some changes occur within birds and how that affects their actions at your feeders. Many birds change their diet, and these changes affect what you will see. Such changes also have an impact on what foods you might best offer birds and who will likely come to your feeders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
