The CERT Basic Training program is a hybrid course with an initial online class, and then three in-person classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first step:<\/strong>  Obtain your FEMA Student Identification (SID) number<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reduce the risk of identity theft, FEMA, the National Fire Academy (NFA), and the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) are eliminating the use of the Social Security Number (SSN), where possible when applying for training.
FEMA has implemented the use of a Student Identification (SID) number.\u00a0You will be required to obtain and use the SID in applying for NFA or EMI courses. This number will be used in place of the SSN on your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second step<\/strong>: complete the online portion of the course.

Be sure to scroll down and click on the course titled:\u00a0ONLINE TRAINING – CERT 2021 en.<\/strong> Then click on the\u00a0REGISTER<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third step<\/strong>:\u00a0 Once you finish the online portion of the course, you will need to forward your completion certificate to me,\u00a0Tracy Baier, at:\u00a0TBAIER1@amfam.com<\/a>.
That certificate will be your key to registration for the in-person training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fourth step<\/strong>:\u00a0 Register online for the class at\u00a0https:\/\/eugene-cert.com\/cert-basic-training<\/strong><\/a>
That will\u00a0reserve\u00a0your seat for the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The next public in-person class is the evening of March 12th<\/sup>\u00a0and 14th<\/sup>, with the Final Drill on March 16th<\/sup>.
Another class is planned for Fall of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
