Compost Workshop Reminder – this Sunday, 23rd – 2PM

Free Compost Workshop on Sunday, June 23, at 2 PM

The Santa Clara Community Garden (SCCG) is holding its’ next compost workshop this Sunday, the 23rd at 2 PM. The garden is located behind St. Matthews Church at 4110 River Road, about 1-1/2 mile north of Beltline. The workshop is free and does not require preregistration. All sessions run for an hour or two.

This session will focus on worm bed preparation and harvesting worm castings to improve garden soil. Compost workshops include discussion of various composting methods, including: hot compost, cold compost, lasagna, cover crops, and soil building with worms.

Future composting workshops are scheduled for October 19th and November 16th.
