Santa Clara Community Foundation Garden Party Fundraising Event

If you plan to attend, please RSVP.

Come join the fun as we continue to raise money for our various neighborhood community projects. There will be food & drink, music, activities, a silent auction, door prizes, tabling opportunities for local artisans, and lots of community engagement. But, remember it’s a fundraiser so be prepared to support the Foundation’s local projects—ongoing, and in the works. Like the “old schoolhouse” community center, and the Hileman Landing Park rehabilitation projects.

The Garden Party will be hosted by Tim & Deneen Foelker at their properties in north Santa Clara off E. Beacon Drive.

If you’re a “Foundation Friend” volunteer (or want to become one), and want to assist at the party please call 541-689-8897, or visit the event RSVP page

If you have offers of items or services for the Silent Auction or Door Prizes please give Tim a call at 541-689-8897.

Visit https://santaclaracommunityfoundation.org to RSVP for this benefit event. Hope to see you there.

Your Input Requested – Fuel Tank Storage Requirements in Eugene

From one of our local Emergency Preparedness Groups – Ready NW Eugene:

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is asking for your public input about the proposed rules for the Fuel Tank Storage facilities located in Eugene that store over 2 million gallons of fuel.

Fuel tank farms provide gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to people in Oregon. However, many tanks in Oregon may be vulnerable to earthquakes, which means they present a risk to the local communities and the environment.

Under the rules created in this process, facilities will develop plans that include actions to protect public health, life safety, and environmental safety within the facility, in areas adjacent to the facility and in other areas that may be affected as a result of damages to the facility. The plans must consider the impacts of a magnitude 9.0 Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake, the potential consequences of that event and the resources needed to respond.

Thank you,

Charlsey Cartwright and Joel Robe
