The construction of the new park is almost complete, and we appreciate all the excitement around having this new community park in Santa Clara. The paved concrete paths, and gravel trails have been built along with the parking lot, bridge, shelter, and restroom building.
Spray play is complete but remains turned off until the park opening.
There has been a delay in opening the park to the public as we address installation issues with some of the playground equipment. We are also allowing for the general establishment of lawn and meadow areas before opening the park to heavy use. If fencing is still up, the park remains closed to the public. We anticipate that fencing might come down in late August. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

It is sad that the kids who have the summer off will not have access to the park’s playground and the spray play. I’m not sure what the problem is, but it would be nice to see an expedited solution so the kids could enjoy the park.
I second this. Because it is the community of a school with many families and kids around, it would be awesome if there was an expedited solution so kids and families could enjoy nearby water play the second half of summer.
It’s the government.. Need I say more? Private company would have been done in June or July. Unless the city delayed inspections. Sad to see kids looking so disappointed..
It has been over 2 months. I understand there are safety rules to follow but this is ridiculous. City staff should be embarassed for letting this continue through the summer. Find a way to fix the problem and open it up.
I believe this project was originally set to open in 2024. Now the kids aren’t going to fully enjoy it this year as the rainy weather will be starting in a couple of months.
