West Bank Bike Path Extension for Santa Clara – Please attend meeting June 15th

Lane County is currently leading a planning effort to understand the transportation needs of the Beaver-Hunsaker corridor for people who walk, bike, ride, and drive.  As part of that process, several concepts are being considered including an extension of the West Bank Path to the north, and developing enhanced walking and bicycling facilities on Beaver-Hunsaker.  For more information, please visit the county web page at:  http://www.lanecounty.org/departments/pw/transplanning/pages/beaver-hunsakercorridorstudy.aspx

These concepts will be shared with the community on June 15th. Please stop by any time between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be at North Eugene High School in their library, located at 200 Silver Lane, Eugene. Your thoughts are important and and the county wants to hear your concerns. Community input is essential to understanding the needs and ultimate solution.

The is a huge opportunity for Santa Clara.  We can make large strides in the safety along Beaver and Hunsaker and possibly get the West Bank bike path extended to make a safe and beautiful new route to Wilkes from the river.  Please plan to drop by on the 15th and spend at least twenty to thirty minutes to learn about the options and to express your opinions and ideas for improvements to the options.
