Awbrey Park Wildflower Celebration a huge success

The Friends of Awbrey Park celebrated their 10th year by giving away cake.

Was it the free hot dogs, our new sponsors, live music, the wonderful wildflowers or the sun that shined on us for almost the entire event?  Probably a combination of everything.

Our 7th annual Wildflower Celebration was by far the most successful.  For the first time, the Friends of Awbrey Park joined forces with the Santa Clara Community Organization to expand the event.  We hope to add a few more sponsors next year.

We’d like to give a big thank you to our supporters:
Fred Meyer for their donation of hot dogs and condiments
Franz Bakery for hot dog buns
Hexion for providing pizza
City of Eugene and volunteer coordinator Carrie Karl for the native plant giveaways, 10th anniversary cake, picnic games, tents and more.
Gather Together Yoga – New this year
River Road – Santa Clara Volunteer Library – New this year
Small is Beautiful Farmstand – New this year
Tim Foelker – Music – New this year
