Topics:

  1. March SCCO will begin with a short presentation from the two EWEB commissioner candidates, 5 minutes each, then a short up to 5 minute Q and A
  2. Then a short presentation by Peter Simmeth of BEST sharing where they are on their work, providing recommendations to the City of Eugene about changes to the River Road corridor to make it safer for all modes of transport.
  3. Main presentation will be Kelly McIver (see below) for ESD 4J up to 45 minutes presentation and Q and A

Main presentation 

Understanding key developments in 4J over the last year. The district has a new, permanent superintendent, Dr. Miriam Mickelson, and she’s plunged into the deep end of leadership, facing a $30 million budget shortfall. The district faces major changes ahead. What is the general “state of the union” for 4J?  What are the impacts on schools in the River Road/Santa Clara area?  What is the plan for the future? 

Discussion with Kelly McIver, Director of Communications and Intergovernmental Relations for Eugene School District 4J.
