Below is an approximate rendition of what the park should look like when completed. The recently installed pedestrian bridge connects the north and south sections of the park. Much work has been done along the park’s north side. Take a bicycle or car ride along River Loop 2 to see what has been done so far.

Survey: River Road- Santa Clara Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge

The City of Eugene has released a survey that explores the feasibility of constructing a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over Beltline Highway, connecting the Santa Clara and River Road neighborhoods.

Eugene has received funding from the Federal Highway Administration to conduct a bridge location and feasibility study. The study will look at where a bicycle and pedestrian bridge might go, how a bridge would connect to surrounding streets, and estimate bridge construction costs.

Much more information is on the City’s website at https://www.eugene-or.gov/5028/River-Road—Santa-Clara-Bicycle-and-Ped
