Hileman Landing County Park is located off E. Beacon Drive, near the Willamette River, just north of Santa Clara.
The Santa Clara and River Road Social Justice committees will be joining the MLK march next Monday. If you would like to join the group, we will be gathering across from the main gate on the north side of the stadium. The event usually begins with speeches and then proceeds downtown and ends at the Hult Center. Carpooling is advised.
This is an opportunity to honor Martin Luther King, Jr., celebrate the gains in Civil Rights over the past 60 years, and reflect on the work to be done.
Videos are now available from the January 5th SCCO meeting.
The first video is an introduction to our new Ward 7 city councilor Lindsie Leech. Meeting attendees made comments and asked Councilor Leech a multitude of questions. The video is about 30 minutes long
The second presentation is by Dan Bryant regarding Square One Villages, with explanations about how the villages work, including Peace Village. Reverand Bryant explains how volunteers have developed a non-profit that now owns 6 properties, has 42 housing units in Eugene, Springfield and Cottage Grove and will soon have the 70 units at Peace Village.
