A Eugene Neighborhood’s Preparedness Event
The Eugene Neighborhood’s Preparedness Network invites everyone to attend the first emergency preparedness forum for 2020 on January 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. This event, “What To Do When the Power Goes Out!” is a free event that will provide attendees with the following information:
- How wind and weather can interrupt your essential electric service in Eugene-Springfield.
- Tools and techniques for getting through an extended outage at your home.
- Problem-solving session for special needs in a no-power situation.
- Networking with other preparedness activists.
The event will be held at the Hilyard Community Center at 2580 Hilyard in Eugene. The event is part of a series of events that the Eugene Neighborhood’s Preparedness Network will be hosting at different locations around Eugene over the course of the coming year. Please join the Santa Clara community in getting the information necessary to be prepared for the next electric outage. For more information or if you have questions please contact Randy Prince at 541-345-3306 or David Monk at 541-520-9572 or leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as quickly as I can.
We hope to see a large group of Santa Clara residents at the meeting to help us prepare for the next ice storm or other event that results in the loss of electricity.
