SCCO Meeting: Sidewalks, Bike Path, Green Space for Beaver-Hunsaker?

The main subject for this Thursday’s monthly SCCO meeting is the Beaver- Hunsaker Corridor Plan.  Come to our meeting on Thursday, July 6 at 7 PM, and learn more about the many potential changes to Beaver and Hunsaker.  You may want to use information from this meeting to provide input to the county at a Wednesday, July 26 meeting.

The study:

  • identifies transportation improvements in the Hunsaker Lane/Beaver Street and Wilkes Corridors to improve the safety of these corridors
  • identifies cycling and walking opportunities.
  • anticipates a new bridge just to the north of the existing Beltline bridge which empties traffic onto Division Avenue and provides access to North Delta,
  • identifies potential changes in anticipation of a new LTD transfer station at the corner of Hunsaker and River Road.
  • In addition, the study has identified a possible multimodal path between Beaver Street and Admiral Street, giving walking and bicycle access to the north as far as Madison Middle School.

Can’t wait for the meeting or can’t attend?  The entire study and draft plan can be found at http://lanecounty.org/cms/One.aspx?portalId=3585881&pageId=8599845
