The City of Eugene has released a survey that explores the feasibility of constructing a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over Beltline Highway, connecting the Santa Clara and River Road neighborhoods.
Eugene has received funding from the Federal Highway Administration to conduct a bridge location and feasibility study. The study will look at where a bicycle and pedestrian bridge might go, how a bridge would connect to surrounding streets, and estimate bridge construction costs.

Taxpayer dollars are precious and should only be used for improvements that benefit the payer of those taxes. What are sidewalks and bike lanes for? They work well and save money! Stop wasting our resources! Aka: EMX!
No way in hell do I want any more homeless wandering through our neighborhoods. What a waste of money yet again. You can’t even finish the intersection at Irving in under 3 years.
If you want to build something useful, how about another bridge for vehicles that would relieve some of the beltline traffic.
