Thank You Lane County Budget Committee, and SCCO Board

Thanks are in order to Lane County Commissioner Pat Farr for championing the County’s funding of the River Road and Santa Clara Neighborhood Association’s gap in City Funding of our outreach budgets for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

Thanks are also in order for Budget Committee Member Dawn Leslie (also a SCCO Board Member) for leading us through the process to request the funding.

And, of course, thanks to both of you for advocating for us in the Budget Committee meeting which resulted in a nearly unanimous vote of approval (only Commissioner Jay Bozievich voted against the proposal).

The portion of that meeting when the request was discussed and approved can be seen at https://youtu.be/R6Xh-uohtzU starting at 1:14:50 and ending at 1:45:45.

Again, thank you Pat Farr, Dawn Lesley, and the Lane County Budget Committee for supporting outreach to unincorporated neighbors in our area!

That’s great! Can you tell us more? What does this mean to us area residents? How is this beneficial? What can we expect as a result of this? Is there something residents can do to be helpful? Please advise. Thank you.

This means all residents in Santa Clara (rather than just city-incorporated addresses) will receive mailed announcements that may affect the whole neighborhood. The city refuses to include all residents when communicating through its neighborhood associations in RR/SC. Remember, this only covers the upcoming fiscal year (’21/’22).

Please subscribe to receive posts directly from the SCCO web site (see “Subscribe to Blog via Email” in the right-hand column). We usually cover all topics of interest, including neighborhood announcements that might be mailed through the outreach program. And be sure too write us if you have a topic of interest you’d like to include.

Would love to know why Bozevich, our commissioner, voted nay. When is his term up?
