Tuesday is the final opportunity for input into the unpaved trails plan. A proposed trail in Santa Clara is currently ranked 4th in the city plan. The Register-Guard had a lengthy article about the plans in this morning’s edition. The Open House is from 6-8 PM at 1980 Roosevelt Blvd, Eugene.
This Thursday, July 30, 6:30–8 pm, there will be a concert in the park at Awbrey Park. It’s supposed to be super hot Thursday and Awbrey Park is shaded by plenty of Douglas Fir and Big Lear Maples. Bring a blanket and enjoy Eleven Eyes, a funk and jazz group.
Saturday it’s the annual Santa Clara Fire Department BBQ. The BBQ starts about 11 am, or when the coals are hot. It ends when they run out of chicken, usually no later than 5 pm, but sometimes as early as 3 pm. If you don’t know where the BBQ is, just drive along River Road and look for the BBQ smoke.
