Eugene School District 4J is offering free food boxes for 4J students and other youth every Wednesday in July and early August. Food box pickup times and locations will change starting July 7.

Meal boxes can be picked up on Wednesdays, 12–1 p.m., at four school sites across the district: Arts & Technology Academy, Cal Young Middle School, Madison Middle School and South Eugene High School. Any remaining food boxes not distributed on Wednesday will be available for pickup at the back of the district office on Thursdays, 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m., while supplies last.

The weekly food box is filled with fixings for seven days of breakfasts and lunches—including fruits, vegetables, milk, sandwich makings, and breakfast foods such as scones or cereal. Vegetarian, made-without-gluten, and soy milk options are available.

Families can pick up meals at any location regardless of where they live or attend school. Free food boxes are provided for all 4J students and all youth age 18 and under. There are no income requirements and no application or pre-registration process.

Weekly food boxes will be available for pickup through mid-August, ending the week of August 18. There will be a brief break in meal service at the end of the summer, as 4J’s nutrition services team prepares for the fall return to school.
