As a new farm land owner in the Santa Clara area, I would love to see a Saturday Farmers’ Market along with Flea Market and food cart space on the to be developed park space at Wilkes and Riverloop 1. This would be a boon to local farmers and consumers, as well as a marketing opportunity for local small business people and a fun happening for our community. It wouldn’t require huge amounts of infrastructure, water and power and bathroom facilities would be helpful, and provide a big bang for our taxpayer bucks. I have experience in creating farmers markets and would be very willing to help in this effort.
