Luper Pioneer Cemetery Reopened to the Public

LuperLuper Cemetery is again open for visitors from dawn until dusk. Ron Robinson and the Scorpion Crew from the High Cascades Forest Volunteers offered their services to cut the hazardous trees damaged by recent ice storms. Several other volunteers also participated. The crew of at least a dozen persons did the work on Thursday, January 19, 2017.

The Board of Directors of Luper Cemetery is grateful for the support and extends our sincere thanks. A work party is still planned, weather permitting, for February 4, 2017 at 10am to continue the cleanup of debris. Volunteers are welcome to help! A dedication ceremony for the benches that were installed as part of Kyle Sorenson’s Eagle Scout project is scheduled for 1pm also on February 4th.
