Beaver-Hunsaker Survey Results

HunsakerHere’s an update on the Beaver-Hunsaker Corridor Study from Becky Taylor:

Subject: Beaver-Hunsaker Corridor Study: Survey Results

Interested Parties:

Attached is a summary of the completed comment forms I’ve received since the public workshop. There is still time to send me comments. I’m still in the process of collecting information.

My next step will be to review all of the information with the project management team to see what we can address and incorporate into our design recommendations. After that, we’ll schedule another public workshop. I’ll be sure to let you know when that date approaches, but it won’t be for at least another month. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
Becky

Eugene Parks Survey – On Line

parksThe City of Eugene recently mailed a publication detailing the current status of parks as well as ideas for future development and maintenance.  The city would like your feedback to plan for the future.

There are several ways to give input.  You can take an on-line survey, visit one of the pop up tours or attend a meeting.  The 10 minute survey is probably the easiest method of providing input.

Among the many survey questions are some very specific questions about prioritizing upgrades to existing community centers (for example, Sheldon) versus building new community centers in either Santa Clara or Churchill.  So be sure to weigh in.

Here is a link to the page that leads you to the survey and pop up tour schedule. Survey – Pop-up Tours.

Please share this with your friends.

Meeting for new bridge from Green Acres Road to Beaver Street – June 21

trafficjalm300wDo you love waiting at the flashing red lights,  just to enter Beltline for a short trip in stalled traffic to get to the Division or River Road exits?  Do you think a bridge that lets you stay off of Beltline would be a good solution?  Lane County and the city of Eugene are holding a meeting to get your feedback.  Here’s another request for feedback from Becky Taylor, Senior Transportation Planner at Lane County:

… “I also want to let you know about an upcoming public hearing before the Lane County and City of Eugene Planning Commissions. They will be hearing testimony on Eugene’s Transportation System Plan (TSP). The TSP is the city’s 20-year master plan that will create transportation policy and a project list, to guide future transportation decisions for the entire city. It also includes local adoption of the Beltline Facilities Plan, which I know many of you are interested in – regarding the new bridge that would connect Green Acres Road with Beaver Street. The public hearing information is as follows:

Joint Planning Commission Public Hearing – Eugene and Lane County
Tuesday, June 21st, 6:00 p.m.
Harris Hall, 125 E. 8th Avenue, Eugene

You can either testify or submit written testimony at the hearing. The commissions will not be taking action that night. They’ll need time to consider the comments. When they do act, it will be in the form of a recommendation to the Lane County Board of Commissioners and Eugene City Council, who ultimately make the decision. The Board and Council will also hold a public hearing before they act, so there will be more opportunities to comment in the future (likely September).
