2 Opportunities to give input to the Santa Clara Plan this week – Wednesday & Thursday

Here’s a reminder about this week’s opportunities to provide input into the River Road – Santa Clara Neighborhood Plan. There is also a Community Meeting at North Eugene High on the 25th.

River Road-Santa Clara neighborhood planning is in its final stage. After years of gathering community input on goals and policies for the five topic areas, the Community Advisory Committee is ready to gather community feedback on the draft Neighborhood Plan.

  • How well does the Neighborhood Plan capture your priorities for Economic Development, Transportation, Land Use, Parks and Natural Resources, and Community Action?
  • What can be improved before the plan goes to City and County decision-makers later this year?

May Opportunities for input

LEARN about the plan and ask questions at the Virtual Info Sessions. Register using the links below.

Please visit this page to learn more about these input options as well as find links to the current draft Neighborhood Plan. After visiting the page, we highly encourage you to use the Community Feedback Form towards the bottom of the page.

Last Chance to Engage! Rethinking How We Plan for Parking

Who knows what the City will come up with for revised parking plans? Here’s a chance to see what is in the works. From the City of Eugene:

The City of Eugene is carefully considering how we use land, now and into the future:

How do we plan for parking throughout the City? Who decides if parking is needed on a property? What actions are most equitable and effective?

We invite you to join the City of Eugene to discuss Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities Parking Reform. Your feedback, questions, and insights will be very helpful as we continue public outreach and prepare for the decision-making process with the Planning Commission (June 2023) and City Council (Fall 2023).

Here are a few ways to engage – if you need additional information for outreach, please let me know!

·      Participate in the CFEC Parking Reform Survey – we’re especially interested in getting a diverse group of respondents (all City Wards, renters, racially diverse community members, young people, etc.)

·      Join the May 3 Virtual Info Session (from 6-7 pm) – you can find/share the event on Facebook or RSVP directly here

We appreciate your partnership on this effort and look forward to sharing more info on future Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities projects. You can contact project staff at CFECParking@eugene-or.gov.

Best,

This Thursday’s SCCO meeting -Final stage of Neighborhood Planning – Feedback wanted

The River Road – Santa Clara neighborhood planning process is in its final stage and it’s time to gather community feedback.  The plan focuses on five topic areas – Land Use, Economic Development, Transportation, Parks and Natural Resources, and Community.

Did we get it right?  Are your concerns addressed in this plan?  Can you suggest any way to make it better before the SCCO will need to make a recommendation to the planning commissions, City Council, and County Commissioners this summer?  Come to the May meeting and see what’s in it, give your feedback, and learn about ways to continue to voice your opinions as it moves forward.  We welcome your participation and look forward to hearing from you.
