Several more donors have contributed in the last few days to boost our donations from 40% of our goal to almost 60%. Thank you donors.
We’d love your support to help us raise $3,000 for the second year in a row. If we reach our goal of $3,000, FOOD for Lane County will be able to purchase 6,000 meals. Our campaign ends March 31st, so please consider donating now. Click here for the donation link.

A lot is going on along River Loop 2. Development of the north section of the Santa Clara Community Park is well on its way and there are the beginning phases of the restoration of the old Santa Clara schoolhouse at 990 River Loop 2.
Late last summer we adopted the grounds around the schoolhouse to plant some flowering items out front and begin the process of showing the site a bit of care. We are now responsible for the upkeep of a prescribed area around the schoolhouse so it seems the opportune moment to create a GROUNDS TEAM.
We will be expanding the planting area, providing more plants, and we will be mowing the grass within our adoption borders, probably every two weeks, for the foreseeable future. If you’d like to join us in performing this work please respond to this email, or respond to me directly at fccf@efn.org.
We’ll get started pronto….it’ll be great fun. We have a brief work party tentatively planned for March 22nd at 2 PM, though we”ll probably need to mow before then.
Thanks, Kate, Project Manager Santa Clara Community Foundation Schoolhouse Project

Meet the Friends of Awbrey Park. The Friends just completed their 17th year of improving the park. If you haven’t been to the park since late 2015, it is time to visit the park again. The City put in a new bridge to replace a slippery log. The bridge makes it safe to walk to the small forest in the east part of the park.
Bring a picnic. Children are more than welcome. The park features three playground areas. One for 2-5 years old and two for 6-12 years. There is also a large playfield, a pollinator garden, Spring Creek and a small forest where you will find woodpeckers, mallards, newts, and salamanders.
