Eugene seeking input for Ward boundary changes

Every ten years, the Eugene City Council examines the population of City Council wards, based on the results from the U.S. Census. The City has developed two scenarios and would like your input. Note that Santa Clara is currently split between two wards.

The survey closes October 25. The following link will take you to an overview page. https://www.eugene-or.gov/4702/Census-and-Ward-Boundary

If you would like to proceed directly to the survey, use the following link. https://engage.eugene-or.gov/wardboundarysurvey/survey_tools/city-of-eugene-ward-boundary-scenario-survey

Update on West Bank Path going north from Hunsaker

The city will be presenting updates at our November (not this month) SCCO meeting regarding extending the West Bank Path north from Hunsaker which is scheduled for construction in 2026.

The process of starting the project does not officially start until 2023. Employees from the city will explain the purpose of the path extension and the scoping components that were included in the grant the city received to fund construction.  No decisions about path alignment have yet been made.  Again, that process starts in 2023.

The city will also address concerns about adding sidewalks and whether this path project will lead to annexation.

The October SCCO meeting will start with Becky Taylor from Lane County reviewing the Beaver-Hunsaker improvements including timelines. Becky will not be covering the West Bank Path extension as that is a City project.
