Boy Scout Christmas Tree Pick Up – Dec 26 thru Jan 30

Our local Boy Scout Troop is having their annual Christmas Tree pick up once again. Troop 182 meets at the Irving Grange and is a frequent contributor to our Awbrey Park work parties.

A message from Troop 182:

Troop 182 is ready to schedule your Christmas Tree Pickup!
We are now scheduling for pickups starting the day after Christmas (Dec 26th) and through the end of January (Jan 30th). We’ll be picking up Christmas trees every weekend and some weekdays. We would be happy to pick up your tree with contact-free pickup.
Please visit WWW.TREES182.COM to schedule your pickup.

We are offering an online payment option through Square Checkout using 2 easy steps. You’ll fill out the request form and then the Square payment form.

This is our main fundraiser for the year. It allows us to provide a quality scouting program for the scouts in our troop as well as helping send them to summer camp and high-adventure camps. This past summer we went to the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia where the scouts were able to participate in Ziplining, Rock Climbing, and much more! The scouts are currently planning a trip to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland next year to hike the Swiss Alps.

We appreciate your continued support and wish you a safe, healthy, and happy Holiday season!
Thank you,
Scouts BSA Troop 182

Let’s End Homelessness

There is a lot of activity in Lane County that is trying to address the lack of housing for the unhoused. You may have seen a group that serves breakfasts under the Washington/Jefferson overpass – a city sanctioned tent site for the homeless. The group that is providing the breakfasts four days a week is called The Way Home. The Way Home’s outreach includes much more than their breakfast program.

If you would like to connect with this group, please visit their website at https://thewayhomeeugene.org/
