Town Hall Meeting with your Representatives – May 31

There will be a town hall meeting focused on the Santa Clara and River Road communities, with many of the elected leaders who represent those neighborhoods:

State Representative Julie Fahey
County Commissioner Jay Bozievich
County Commissioner Pat Farr
City Councilor Claire Syrett
4J School District Board Chair Eileen Nittler
EWEB Commissioner Sonya Carlson

Many of the issues that our constituents in Santa Clara and River Road contact us about cross multiple levels of government (e.g., housing and homelessness, workforce development). This town hall will give you a chance to meet and ask questions of several of your elected officials at once and to hear about the work being done at all levels to address the issues that you are most concerned about. We’re looking forward to answering your questions and having a robust conversation!

Help Create Eugene’s Downtown Riverfront Park – May 24

DESCRIPTION

Values and Vision
Over the next few months, the City of Eugene Parks and Open Space Division and the design consultant team led by Walker Macy are seeking community input at a series of public meetings.

On Thursday, May 24, meet the park design team, share your vision for our new park and tell us what features you want most. Site tours will be available following the presentation. All ages are welcome, including kids, and light refreshments will be provided.

Downtown Riverfront Park
One of the priorities the City heard most clearly from the community about the future of parks and recreation in Eugene, is providing access to the river – for everything from recreation to simply enjoying the views. The 3-acre Downtown Riverfront Park will reunite our city with the river just in time for the 2021 World Track and Field Championships.

For additional meeting dates, online surveys, project updates and more, visit the project website, eugene-or.gov/riverfrontpark.
