Public Safety In Our Neighborhood – A special SCCO meeting on Thursday, May 2nd

Public safety is a frequent concern at our SCCO meetings, so we have decided to replace the May SCCO meeting with a public forum on this topic. Note that the location and time of our monthly meeting have been changed for this important issue.

Public safety is more than just policing. How do the providers work together to keep us safe? Where are the gaps in the services? Who falls through the cracks and why? How can we help? A conversation with Eugene Police Department, Lane County Sheriff’s Office, CAHOOTS, Mobile Crisis Service of Lane County, and Western Lane Crisis Response.

There will be five presentations. After the presentations, there will be time for questions and comments. Questions or comments will be limited to two minutes.
