Lane County needs 7,800 more people vaccinated to move to ‘Low Risk’

63% of Lane County’s population 16 and over have had at least one shot of the Covid vaccination. We just need 7,824 more people to get shots and we can move to the ‘Low Risk’ category. Moving to Low Risk from High Risk dramatically increases the number of people who can attend indoor and outdoor activities – see chart here.

If you can encourage anyone to get a vaccination, please do. There are several clinics offering FREE covid vaccinations the rest of this week. Walk ins are welcome. Reminder: Everyone 18 and older who has gotten a shot or gets a shot is eligible for the State’s million dollar lottery and 12 to 17 year olds will be in a drawing for $100,000 towards an Oregon College Savings Account.   • Tuesday – Friday, May 25 – 28 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm daily at Autzen Stadium
  • Wednesday, May 26 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Churchill High School Cafeteria (1850 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene) 
  • Thursday, May 27 from 3:00-6:00pm at McKenzie River Community School  (51887 Blue River Drive, Finn Rock)
  • Friday, May 28 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at North Eugene High School (200 Silver Lane, Eugene)
